Updated 11/12 @ 8:45 a.m.
WordCamp Boise kicks off this week, and we want everyone to be ready. Here are some updates regarding our venue and ways to make your WordCamp Boise experience easier and more enjoyable.
Pre-Conference Workshop
Unfortunately, the “Building a Website Without Code” workshop that was scheduled for Thursday has been canceled. Our location fell through a couple weeks ago and we were unable to find somewhere that would accommodate us.
Registration and Badge Pick-Up
Friday and Saturday events will be at the Student University Building at 1700 W. University Drive, Boise ID 83725. Enter through the doors on the south side of the SUB. From there, go upstairs to the second floor. Registration will be just outside of the Jordan Ballroom.
The registration area opens at 8 a.m., and we’ll give you your attendee badge and lanyard. From there, we recommend checking out our hallway track area to grab a beverage, see what our sponsors have to offer, and then join us in the Jordan Ballroom for opening remarks at 8:45 a.m. on Friday.
Your ticket entitles you to one special commemorative swag item, which you will also receive at the registration desk.
Parking at Boise State
When you arrive at Boise State, we encourage you to park at the Lincoln Avenue Garage, directly across University Drive from the Student Union Building (SUB). A coupon code is available for attendees; see this parking guide for details. Keep in mind that you will need to note your license plate before going to the payment machines.
Sessions Nov. 15-16
Your badge gets you entrance to any of our sessions. If the material in a room is not the right fit, no worries, feel free to change rooms.
Our presenters will take questions from the audience, but please do the following so that everyone gets the greatest benefit for the Q & A:
- Keep your question brief and to the point.
- Please ask only one question so that others in the room may have an opportunity to ask theirs. However, if no one else has one, feel free to ask another.
- Please frame your question as a question, not as a comment.
- Here’s some additional info on how to be a great audience member.
Sessions will be in the Jordan Ballroom and the Hatch Ballroom.
The “Hallway Track” aka the Sponsor Hall Nov. 15-16
Aside from having our regularly scheduled speaker sessions, there is also what is commonly known as “The Hallway Track.”
The Hallway Track consists of:
- WordPress Happiness Bar: Need help with something WordPress? We can assist.
- Beverage Station
- Sponsor Area
Lunch and Beverage Break
We will have box lunches Friday and Saturday. When you purchased your ticket, you selected which type(s) of sandwich you preferred for each day.
If you have a dietary concern, please reach out to an organizer. We will do our best to assist you.
Coffee, tea, and water will be available throughout the day in the Hallway Track.

Needing Assistance/Contacting Organizers
If you need to be in touch with us during the event, your best bet is to head to the registration desk/Happiness Bar area and a volunteer will be there to answer your question (or find someone else who can help).
You can also reach out to us via Slack (how to join our Slack) or Twitter — but we may not be checking those channels as regularly during the event.
We have tried to make the event accessible to all, but if there is something else we can do for you, let us know. We take our Code of Conduct seriously, so do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns.
We can’t wait to see you!
