Just 10 days until WordCamp Boise

The countdown has begun!

If you haven’t yet, please register by noon on Thursday, November 7. This is the deadline for getting in food orders to our catering services.

We would gladly welcome a few more volunteers. Technical knowledge is not necessary. If you’d be willing to help, head over to our website to learn more and sign up to volunteer.

And lastly, just a head’s up that we’re putting together an attendee guide and will be emailing that out in advance of the event. It will include info on parking, location, After Party details, etc.

WordCamp Boise tickets now on sale!

Ticket sales for WordCamp Boise are now open. We can’t wait for you to join us, November 15-16, 2019, at Boise State University. Tickets are $40, and they cover 2+ days of programming including but not limited to:

  • Over 30 speaker presentations, including a pre-Camp workshop on Thursday.
  • Lunch and all-day beverage station (coffee, tea, water) on Friday and Saturday.
  • Our After Party held Saturday evening.
  • Plus opportunities to meet and network with local and regional members of the WordCamp community.

WordCamp Boise 2019 Schedule

The moment many of you have been waiting for is here. The WordCamp Boise Schedule that contains full descriptions of sessions is now available.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, the day before WordCamp Boise “officially” starts, we’ll have a beginner workshop about creating a website without code. And then WordCamp Boise kicks off on Friday, Nov. 15, with two full days of sessions, networking opportunities, and more.

As I write this, we’re confirming our speaker lineup and the schedule is almost ready to be released. We’re excited for this amazing group of people to share their knowledge with all our WordCamp Boise attendees.

Tickets will go on sale tentatively Oct. 1. The total cost for the two-day event is $40. (A huge shoutout to our sponsors for help making this possible.)

Call for Volunteers

Call for Volunteers

WordCamp Boise’s success will be in large part due to the help of all our community members! We are looking for non-technical and technical help. Let us know how you’d like to help.

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Registration/tickets
    • Typically a morning duty.
  • Room runners
    • Help presenters and organizers with misc. needs.
  • Emcees
    • Introduce presenters, keep everything on schedule. Knowledge of WordPress jokes a plus.
  • Schedule monitor
    • Responsible for keeping posted schedules on room doors current throughout the day.
  • Answer Qs at the Happiness Bar
    • Our goal is to have the Happiness Bar staffed as consistently as possible throughout the event.
  • Video editing (after WordCamp Boise has concluded)
    • We’ll train you! The sessions will be professionally recorded but we need some help reviewing the recordings and make basic edits.

There are still a few openings on the schedule for design-related sessions. If you’d like to pitch a topic, we’d love to hear from you. The speaker application deadline has been extended to September 2 for design-related topics. Apply now!

A few ideas to get the creative juices flowing, if you’d like:

  • What’s your workflow/design process?
  • Mobile-first design
  • Typography tips for your designs
